Minnie T. Mouse (May 17, 2009 - January 27, 2010)

Why is it that the stars that burn the brightest also burn the shortest?

She lived a very full life in the short time she was with us.

Minnie brought so much joy to those that knew her.

We laughed at her trying to jump out of her cage....

...running through the mazes that were made for her out of blocks....

...pooping on things.

Our lives will all have a small hole in them that cannot be filled, but it is better to have loved and to have lost than to have never loved at all.

Minnie will be greatly missed but the smell of a mouse cage will not.

R.I.P very little one, and may you be happy in the great cheese wheel in the sky.

A short memorial service will be held in Minnie's honor on January 27th at 6:30 PM in Minnie's back yard. In Leau of flowers, please donate to a Haiti Relief Fund

Tooth Fairy

If any of you know the tooth fairy personally or have any way of contacting the tooth fairy, i would appreciate if you would forward this letter.

Dear Tooth fairy,
My children and i were talking the other day and we have a few questions for you.
We hope that you will respond because we are very curious.

Are you a boy or a girl?
what do you do with all of the teeth that you collect?
where do you get all of the money that you leave under the children's pillows?
Why do you leave different amounts of money for different people?
How do you know when someone loses a tooth?
How do you get into the houses?
Have you ever been arrested?

Why didn't you bring #2's tooth back to her when she decided that she would rather have the tooth than the money? She put the money back under her pillow and was expecting her tooth back?

Why does it usually take 2-3 days after a tooth is left under a pillow for you to come and get the tooth and leave the money?

Bringing in the New Year with Red Dye #5

We got an invite to spend New Years Eve in the Uintas with Russell & Co.

A "Short Cut" getting there almost left us stuck in the middle of nowhere in a snowdrift. Luckily we had enough firearms and ammo to feed and clothe our families for at least a year.

With some digging, we got out, turned around and drove the "Long way" through some of Evanstons' nicer trailer parks and up the back route.
After a short ride in a snowcat (where do you even buy a snowcat) we made our way to the cabin. We spent a couple days sledding, snowmobiling, doing ziplines and playing card games that may or may not have involved removing articles of clothing with a losing hand.

No stitches or broken bones and i consider it a successful weekend
When we left Saturday afternoon, we had gotten through a 1.9 pound package of swedish fish and almost all of the 5 pound package of gummy bears.
Red dye #5 and food grade carnauba wax never tasted so good.
