Mtn Bike Race

#1 did her first Mountian Bike race on wednesday night. The race was supposed to happen on memorial day but it got rained out. That gave us a chance on tuesday night to go over and pre-ride her course and she had a blast, but i can't believe how much this girl can talk. For the whole hour we rode, she did not stop talking. Towards the end of our ride she was talking about getting home and taking a nice warm bath with the lights off and nobody bothering her while she just relaxes. Wednesday night she went back and raced in the 9 and under class. She did great but was "VERY SWEATY" afterwards. We found her a biking shirt in her size and she was so glad becasue it had pockets in the back so she could put some fruit snacks back there for her ride. I raced the expert class and was glad i did not take last place.

Happy Memorial Day

After spending the weekend in Boise with the family and doing the treasue valley stage bike race, which i stayed consistent with my finishes (6th RR , 7th TT, 6th Cr, and 7th GC) I was going to come back and do a mtn bike race in Draper on monday but it got rained out and postponed to wednesday night. We went up to Ogden and visited a few cemeteries. Above is a picture of a headstone that says it all.

Boise with the Fam for Memorial Day

#2 Went to Mexico with her Grandpa, so I thought the rest of the family should go somewhere equally as exotic. Here are some pictures of #1 doing what she does best at the Shilo Inn pool in Boise, Idaho.

Dead Dogs

I love to paint and do it when i can. Last night i painted some walls brown, which is 6 years of art school hard at work. A lot of the time i don't find time to paint for myself because it is a lot easier to lay around and watch Scrubs re-runs. I love it when someone commissions me to do a painting for them because it makes me paint and i realize how much i love it 30 seconds after i pick up the brush. Over the last few months, several of the paintings i have done are for people who knows someone who's dog has died and wanted to give them a gift. Much like an actor gets typecast, i have been typecast as a dead dog painter. I have really enjoyed doing the paintings because i get to paint and dogs are a fun subject, and then i also do the woodworking and make the frame, but it is a little weird, don't you think? Maybe i will start advertising in veterinarian waiting rooms.

Baby #4

As with the other 3 kids, the wife will be induced about a week before her due date. She is scheduled for June 17th. The baby and her are both ready at around 39 weeks and everyone is fine with that. There aren't a whole lot of things to get surprised about anymore but we will wait until that day to find out the sex of the baby. Daughter #2 asked how we will know if it is a boy or a girl. We asked her what is different about a boy and a girl. She told us that girls have long hair. We told her that all baby's hair is short. We asked what else. She said that boys have whiskers. We told her little boys don't. See couldn't figure out how we would know if it was a boy or a girl so i guess we will just have to wait until the doctor tells us. From what i have seen in the ultrasounds and the picture below, this baby's future looks bright.

Mothers Day

Today is mothers day and this song and music video by Mr. T sums up the way i feel about my mother.

in that same avenue, here is a poem zoe wrote for her mother (with no grammatical or spelling corrections.)

Mom I love you!
Oh your so sweet!
The best pianoist.
Hay! your awesom.
Every one loves you.
Ready to help.

love Zoe B.
