The doctor said the surgery went as well as it could have. He felt good about the whole thing.
I didn't get very far through the 88 pictures the nurse took of the surgery before stopping.
Something about a picture of my big brothers leg, detached from his body and sitting on a table makes this whole thing a lot more real.
On the bike ride up here, we were trying to think of stage names for matt once he becomes a one legged stripper. He thinks there will be a high demand for these and that nobody is currently fulfilling that demand.

If nothing else the Dr. just cut his leg shaving time in half - Think of all the water he'll save!
Seriously though, I'm glad everything went well and I'm amazed at his ability to stay positive throughout all of this. It's really very inspiring.
P.S. My vote for stage names is Dennis Hopper...
I am glad to hear that the surgery went well. It's been quite a month for you all. And I have been amazed at the strength you all keep showing. Matt and Luke are lucky to have an amazing support system. We continue to prayer for your etire family and hope you keep laughing through it all.
